Description of Organization:
The Monroe County Historical Society in Missouri is a nonprofit 501c3 corporation founded September 11, 1967. The purposes of the Society shall be of a nonprofit nature and shall be exclusively historical, scientific, educational and charitable. The society operates a museum and a research center in Paris, Missouri.
Membership Details:
Members pay annual dues of $10 individual or $15 family. Members enjoy discounted fees when making research requests, receive the Monroe County Quarterly 4 times each year, participate in one-time or ongoing projects pertaining to county history, have the opportunity to learn from and enjoy workshops and presentations sponsored by the society, and have a voice in efforts made to preserve our county’s past that will enrich our future.
Meeting Details:
Meetings are held on the fourth Monday of each month except July, August and December. Regular meetings, workshops, committee meetings, banquets, board meetings and sponsored events are posted on our calendar at our web site.
